Ensuring Effective Governance
Keeping Children Safe in Education imposes duties on the Advisory Boards and Governing Bodies of Post-16 education and skills providers: The DfE publication requires:
- Governing bodies and proprietors to ensure that all governors and receive appropriate safeguarding and child protection training at induction.
The training should equip Board members with the knowledge to provide strategic challenge to test and assure themselves that the safeguarding policies and procedures of the organisation are effective and support the delivery of a robust approach to safeguarding.
Led by Bob, an experienced trainer, safeguarding specialist and former full-time HMI the workshop will be engaging and delivered at a digestible pace – delegate numbers will be limited to a maximum of 12.
